Two winners each WIN a new car at New Driver NI’s ‘Touch The Car’ Competition sponsored by CRASH Services and JMK Solicitors.

CRASH Services and JMK Solicitors were delighted to be corporate partners of the New Driver Safety Ambassador Limited ‘Touch The Car’ Competition, which took place on Saturday 26th June.

Ten participants from across Northern Ireland competed for their chance to take home the prize of a new car plus £1000 towards their insurance. To win, they had to keep their hand on the car with the last person still ‘touching the car’ taking home the prize of a new Dacia Sandero Access SCe 65* (worth £7,995) sponsored by CRASH Services and JMK Solicitors and £1000 towards insurance part sponsored by AB&C  Insurance.

A surprising addition to the day was not one but TWO prizes were on hand to compete for thanks to the generosity of Jonathan McKeown. The last two contestants, Danielle Walsh from St. Louis Grammar School, Ballymena and Tristin Barrett from Lagan College, Belfast were the two lucky ‘Touch The Car’ winners, both winning a brand new Dacia Sandero Access SCe 65* (which now comes with electronic stability control with traction control and hill start assist as standard) and £1000 towards their insurance!

The unlucky contestants each received a cash prize so no one was left empty-handed.

Stephen Savage, Project Manager at New Driver Safety Ambassadors commented, “It was a fantastic day with 10 worthy participants trying to win themselves the prize. We didn’t make it easy on the participants though, we threw in some curveballs along the way by introducing some fun and challenging games throughout the day! The day challenged the participants both mentally and physically and saw most of the participants being knocked out through the day until there were only two remaining. I was extremely impressed by all the finalist determination and stamina they showed throughout the day.”

Maurece Hutchinson, Managing Director at JMK Solicitors commented “The ‘Touch The Car’ competition proved very popular amongst the secondary school pupils and indeed the ten participants on the day. A huge congratulations to Danielle and Tristin who were the lucky winners after being the last two remaining to be touching the car on Saturday!
